Thank You Thank You Thank You, News (Newmarket & District Ringette Association)

This past weekend proved that many hands make light work.

As another annual IGNITE THE ICE tournament is officially in the books, I would like to take this opportunity to THANKS everyone that assisted in making this event so successful.

So many individuals assisted with the tournament this weekend that it would be way too difficult to name them all.

I have to say that seeing all our players assist with our well received RINKO game was just fantastic.  Not only did we have players assisting with RINKO, I saw many faces behind the raffle baskets and in the time keeper box either working the shot clock, time clock or game sheets. 

I would also like to thank all the parents and board members that spent countless hours at the arena to pull of such a great event.  I saw many faces bright and early in the morning right through till the final buzzer of the night.

A few special thanks that I feel should be mentioned. Thank you to Jeff  Smithson and Cheri Randall for being our Tournament Chairpersons and spending the entire weekend at the rink.  

Thank you to Sue Ranta for spending all weekend in the cold registration room ensuring all our games sheets were correct and sent to Score 2 Stats. This ensured our online results were updated and correct.  

Thank you to Dave McFadden for ensuring we had qualified officials on the ice and always being professional, handling any issues that may have come up over the weekend in a calm, cool and collected manner. 

Thank you to Alanna Jarvis and Michelle Linton for ensuring that our off-ice officials schedule was always full and for filling in when we had empty spots.  

Thank you to Kim Owen for spending all weekend at the rink and in the cold time keepers box - you truly are a great asset to NDRA. 

Thank you to Lui De Dominicis  - our VP for enduring the hot temperatures upstairs handing out all the hardware to the teams.

As I said earlier, there were way too many volunteers to mention individually.  Overall, a fantastic weekend and I can personally say that I had many players, coaches and family members compliment us on how well the tournament was run and how impressed they were with our association and the Magna Centre.
